Aquisition of Mariani Asphalt

Associated Asphalt of Roanoke, Virginia announced today
the acquisition of E.A. Mariani Asphalt Company, Tampa, Florida (EAM).
The company will be known as Mariani Asphalt, an Associated Asphalt Company
and will operate in the same manner and be seamless to the market.
The majority of existing company personnel will be retained in the new company.
EAM’s president, George Mariani, will continue to lead Mariani Asphalt,
with Kevin Hardin as Vice President of Operations.
E.A. Mariani Asphalt, founded in 1947 is one of the leading manufacturers
of asphalt emulsions and polymer modified asphalt (PMA) products in the Southeastern United States.
EAM manufactures the broadest asphalt line in Florida, which includes quality asphalts, PMA,
asphalt emulsion, and cutback asphalt. The company also distributes liquid asphalt through its
deep-water terminal located in the port of Tampa.
Associated Asphalt (AA), founded in 1948 is one of the leading
asphalt resellers in the Mid Atlantic United States, with terminals in Virginia,
West Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The company distributes asphalts,
PMA, asphalt emulsion, and cutback asphalt.
